After Hours Dating is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. This app is strictly for users 18 years of age and older.
Information you provide directly: When creating and managing your account we collect your name, email address, date of birth, gender identity, sexual orientation, profile photos, biography, job title, location, height, faith, and dating preferences. We also collect messages you send to other users, reports you submit, and payment information processed securely through Apple In-App Purchases.
Information we collect automatically: Device type, operating system, app version, screens visited, features used, time spent in the app, crash reports, performance data, push notification tokens, and general location based on your IP address.
Information from third parties: If you sign in with Apple we receive your name and email. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email, and profile photo. Photos you upload are processed and stored by Cloudinary.
We use your information to create and manage your account, show you compatible matches, enable messaging between matched users, process subscription purchases, send push notifications, verify your age, enforce our Community Guidelines, investigate abuse reports, improve the service, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Ever.
Your profile information (name, photos, age, bio, job title) is visible to other users. Your email, password, and payment information are never visible to other users.
We work with trusted service providers including Neon (database hosting), Cloudinary (photo storage), Apple (payment processing and app distribution), Google (authentication), and Railway (server hosting). These providers only access your information to perform services on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
We may disclose your information if required by law or court order, or if necessary to protect the safety of any person or prevent illegal activity.
After Hours Dating offers three subscription tiers — Noir, Obsidian, and Eclipse. Your subscription tier determines which features you can access. Your tier is stored in our database and is used solely to determine your feature access within the app.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Messages may be retained for up to 90 days after account deletion for safety and moderation purposes.
You have the right to access your personal information, correct inaccuracies, delete your account, opt out of marketing communications, withdraw consent, and request a portable copy of your data.

We collect your general location at the city level to show you relevant matches nearby. We do not track your precise real-time GPS location without your explicit permission. You can disable location access in your device settings at any time.
Photos you upload are stored securely via Cloudinary and are used solely to display your profile to other users. We do not use your photos for advertising or sell them to third parties. You can delete your photos at any time within the app.
After Hours Dating is strictly for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18 we will immediately terminate their account and delete their data. To report a suspected minor contact safety@afterhoursdatingapp.com.
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS and TLS encryption in transit, bcrypt password storage, and JWT token-based authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
California residents have additional rights under CCPA including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the Last Updated date.
